Community Requests
There are some requests that we simply don’t have the staff or the resources to help with but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to help! For requests that we aren’t able to handle on with our own resources, we have made a Facebook Community Group where you can post your needs and other community members can respond. We’ve outlined what you can request and what is off limits below.
Please be respectful of other community members! This group is open to the public for families in Washington County.
Acceptable Requests:
Pet sitting/pet care
In home grooming/pet services
Asking for/offering up food/supply donations from the community
Asking about/giving recommendations for veterinarians in the area
Other similar requests
Unacceptable Requests:
Please refrain from asking for money or financial donation in any capacity. This includes requests to “borrow” money, help covering veterinary bills, etc. This is to avoid anyone getting scammed or taken advantage of in the community. If you need financial help for covering veterinary bills, we recommend posting on your own personal page, talking to your veterinarian about payment options, or looking into Care Credit or Scratch Pay.
Please do not ask for or offer medical advice. Please contact your veterinarian with any medical related questions or concerns.
Please do not ask for any medications or prescription items of any kind. All medications should be prescribed by a vet and given as needed.
Please do not belittle other community members. This is meant to be a helpful group where we all support each other in times of need.
Please do not offer any items that are expired or “well-loved”. Any items that are broken, unsafe for pets or otherwise ruined/dirty should not be offered here.
